How does CrowdSauce work?

CrowdSauce is about getting you deals from the businesses you love. We are not talking about some random store you have never heard of. Think about your favorite restaurant or clothing store…Imagine getting a deal from that business…That is CrowdSauce!

Using the CrowdSauce website or Mobile application you can find the business, then, select the ‘Reward Me’ button to register your interest for a deal from that business. If you like the business, the chances are that you have friends who also like that business so we encourage you to Flash Mob and get your friends to ask for a deal from that store.

As the number of people in the crowd grows for that store, we negotiate a deal for you and send you deals from that business.

How do I use CrowdSauce?

You can access CrowdSauce online at www.crowdsauce.com or using the CrowdSauce iPhone or Android App (coming soon).

Do I need to ask the business owner or sales person for a deal in person?

No, leave that to us. We ask on your behalf. Just use your phone or Crowdsauce.com to ask by pressing ‘Reward Me’ once you have found that business.

Is membership to CrowdSauce free?

CrowdSauce is free for all users. You can request deals as often as you like. We make our money from the businesses that promote.

How long does it take to get deals?

When we have enough “Reward Me” requests for a business we approach the business and invite them to offer a deal. Business owners can also view the size of their crowd and promote via the website.

Finding a Business

How do I search for my favorite business?

Using the mobile application: When you are in the business, that business should show up on CrowdSauce. If it does not select “next 10” and if you still cannot find the business then it’s possible the business has not yet been added. We invite you to add the business.

Using the website: Search using the search tool and make sure to check your location. If you cannot find the business then it’s possible the business has not yet been added. We invite you to add the business.

Help! I can’t find the Business I’m looking for?

If you can’t find the business, it’s possible the business has not yet been added to CrowdSauce. We invite you to add the business.

How do I add a business?

Accept the option to add a business and complete the ‘add business’ form. Once added you will receive bonus points for adding that business.

Reward Me Requests

What are Reward Me requests?

A ‘Reward Me’ request is the act of asking a business for a discount. When you find a business on CrowdSauce that you like, click on ‘Reward Me’ and you will be registered as someone who would like a deal from that business.

Am I obligated to Buy if I select “Reward Me”?

No, pressing “Reward Me” only registers you as being interested in receiving a deal from that business. If the business promotes a deal you will be notified and using the deal is optional.

How many Reward Me requests can I make?

Lots, we encourage you to ask at all the businesses you like. You can even press “Reward Me” a number of times for each business (waiting limits may apply). The more you request deals, the more you receive points.

Flash Mobs

What is a Flash Mob

A Flash Mob on CrowdSauce is a way to invite your friends to access deals from the businesses you like. You must press “Reward Me” before you can Flash Mob a business.

Remember, it’s a virtual Flash Mob so we don’t expect you to all go in together and ask for a deal in-store (but if you do please share the video with us).

What does the Facebook Flash Mob do?

When you are invited to setup a Flash Mob and you click on the Facebook logo, a message will appear on your Facebook wall inviting your friends to request a deal from that business. The message will include a link to the business on CrowdSauce.

What does the Twitter Flash Mob do?

When you are invited to setup a Flash Mob and you click on the Twitter logo, a tweet will be sent inviting your friends to request a deal from that business. The message will include a link to the business on CrowdSauce.

What if I don’t want to Flash Mob?

Don’t worry Soldier! We encourage you to Flash Mob because this leads to us securing deals faster but it’s completely optional.

CrowdSauce Points

What are the CrowdSauce Points?

You receive points for your activity on CrowdSauce. These points increase your social status in the CrowdSauce Army and allow you to get promoted in rank.

How do I earn more points?

The more you do, the more you get. “Reward Me” requests, Flash Mobs and adding businesses all get you points.

What do the points get me?

As you gain points you may be promoted rank. Advancing in rank gets you even more stuff!

What are the Medals?

CrowdSauce Medals recognize you based on your activity. When you earn Medals, we send you deals available only for holders of that medal.

How do I change my Medal settings?

You can change settings for each Medal by viewing the settings page.

What if I don’t want to get deals based on my Medals?

You can edit your settings for each medal to stop receiving deals based on that medal.
